Dr. Michael D. Sproul
Pastor Mike Sproul was born to evangelist Dave Sproul and his wife Kay on August 10. At the age of three, Pastor Mike prayed with his parents and was saved. He attended Tri-City Christian Academy where he met his wife, Elma. After two years at Bob Jones University, Pastor Mike transferred to International Baptist College where he received his B.A. in Pastoral Studies. He received his M.Div from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, PA and later earned his D.Min from IBC.
Pastor Mike spent time in evangelism before becoming a chaplain and pastoring churches on two different Air Force Bases: Sacramento, CA and Guam. In 1996 he became Pastor Jim Singleton's co-pastor at Tri-City Baptist Church, and three years later he became the senior pastor. In addition to pastoring at Tri-City, he is also the senior chaplain of the 161st ARW (Air Refueling Wing) at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona. Pastor Mike and Elma have two children: Dave, an Air Force Academy graduate, and Sara who is studying nursing.
Pastor Larry Ball
Larry Ball was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. As a seven year old, he responded to an invitation given by his Sunday school teacher and accepted the Lord as his Savior. After graduating from Portsmouth High School, he went to Bob Jones University where he received his B.A. in Bible. Later he attended San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary where he completed his M.A. He received his M.Min. from Bob Jones University.
Pastor Ball served as the senior pastor of Faith Baptist Church in San Pablo, California from 1982 to 1989 and as the senior pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Hollister, California from 1989 to 2008. He was also the vice president of the Golden State Association of Christian Schools from 2007 to 2008. At that time, he came to serve with International Baptist Missions, becoming the General Director in 2010.
Dr. Dave Sproul
The ninth of ten children, Dave Sproul was born in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, on October 23 and was saved at a revival meeting at Kentuck Union Church as an eleven year old. From first to eighth grade, Dr. Sproul attended two one-room schoolhouses. His high school years were spent at South Union Township High School in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. After high school, Dr. Sproul earned his B.A. in Writing and Producing Radio and TV Scripts from Bob Jones University. He also earned a Master of Divinity from Central Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Theology from San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1981 Maranatha Baptist Bible College awarded Dr. Sproul an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree.
From 1963 to 1980, Dr. Sproul traveled in full time evangelism. At that point, he became the General Director of International Baptist Missions (IBM). He currently serves as the Senior Consultant at IBM as well as the chairman of the Missions Department at International Baptist College and Seminary and teaches an Adult Bible Fellowship at Tri-City Baptist Church. Throughout his ministry, Dr. Sproul has traveled extensively: he has held over 600 revival meetings in the United States, traveled to 46 other countries and preached in most of them, and taken 22 trips to India in addition to directing seven Bible Land tours. Dr. Sproul has been married to his wife Kay for 53 years and they have three children and seven grandchildren.
